A Fading Darkness
Within my sleepless dream You walked, and prayed To stay the restless Discontent of night.
And when my sadness Softened me, you made A last attempt To free my soul from flight.
But when I cried and Spoke to you of love, You did not shrink, Nor my heart did you shame;
So I, in humble Honesty must move With newly healed heart, No longer lame.
